I taught myself to write comics on The Undertaker’s Daughter, a series of 4-page stories with artist Wendell Cavalcanti. We’d originally intended to do 12 of these, before Wendell landed a gig drawing the Image ongoing series BlackAcre with writer Duffy Boudreau. You should probably read BlackAcre, where Wendell is doing the best work of his career (so far).
These, though, my stories are nasty, unforgiving little fuckers.
“Touch” is another early story I wrote for artist Rich Lee, who illustrated, colored, and lettered the whole thing for a school project. You can read all of “Touch” by clicking HERE.
